Regional Underwriting Manager

Are you an experienced leader within the general insurance underwriting segment, looking for a new senior level challenge as a Regional Head of Underwriting? The role You will be responsible for leading a highly successful and profitable, multi-site underwriting division for a prestigious Insurer. As the Regional Head, you will be responsible across both the people and technical leadership piece, embedding operational excellence across all underwriting lines in the Northern region of the business, ensuring exceptional customer services as well as upholding regulatory responsibilities, financial deliverables and the overall Insurer group strategy. Whilst the number of direct reports for the role is relatively small, you will need strong leadership and advocacy skills to drive the qualities and standards you want across the business. Working in a collaborative way with your peer in the South, you will contribute to the design and delivery of the overall underwriting strategy for the group, influencing and consulting on policy change where regional trends dictate. There is also a degree of involvement in the ongoing change and development programmes at group level.
