Overview
ER Advisor Portsmouth Full time - Monday to Friday Temp - 6-8 weeks £16.00ph Provide expert ER advice that encourages and enables line managers across the business to take accountability to resolve ER cases in line with Employment Legislation and Company policy, to minimise risk Provide pragmatic and timely advice remotely on a wide range of cases including disciplinary, grievance, appeal and investigation meetings and ensuring they are completed in a timely fashion. Coach and influence line managers to ensure the right outcome is achieved in each Employee Relations case Providing Employee Relations activity reports that identify the number and types of cases and outcomes. Making recommendations to further improve the businesses approach to managing all ER cases Manage the Long Term and Short Term sickness process to enable managers to progress cases to a satisfactory conclusion in a reasonable timescale. Escalating high risk/high profile cases to operational field team Provide assistance in the management of Employment Tribunal claims, including collating and preparing documents Assist in the management of employee consultation, redeployment or termination of employment through TUPE and redundancy exercises. Assist in the review and amendment of employment policies in line with changes to employment legislation and ACAS codes of Practice Attend formal hearings and meetings by exception as the management representative advising and taking notes. Participate in the provision of formal training to Operational colleagues, improving capability in managing ER cases, including conducting investigations and formal hearings, conduct versus capability, decision making and note-taking.
