SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER - Packaging Artwork / FMCG Packaging / Retail Packaging SALARY: £40-43k basic AREA: Central London OPPORTUNITY TO PROGRESS to Account Director level EXPERIENCE - Must have excellent proven account management and solid project management experience, superb client management ability, an excellent grasp of the packaging artwork process, good knowledge of print processes and experience of working with a major FMCG / Brand / Retail client. Must also have potential & desire to progress to AD long term. You might currently be working in one of the following roles; Senior Account Manager / Account Manager / Packaging Account Manager / Junior Account Director These industry terms will apply to you; Packaging Repro / Packaging Artwork / Packaging Graphics / CGI Packaging / Reprographics / Retail Packaging / FMCG Packaging / Packaging Production / Artwork Execution Living in one of these areas London or home county areas or nearby; London / Hertfordshire / Essex / Kent / Surrey / Middlesex ROLE: -This is a senior level role with a good salary to reflect the level of client responsibility, say on projects and influence with the client -Acting as the pack-change department for a major client -To be based onsite with the client at their London Head Office -Essential to forge a close working relationship with this client. -A role focused on the production stages of the process (NOT creative) so requiring good understanding of technical print processes / substrates / colour separation / other technical aspects -Responsibility for the management of new, re-launch, amendment, line development and pack copy changes across the brands -Responsible for leading client & supplier meetings including pre-artwork meetings and communicating and managing the relationship with design agencies, suppliers, printers etc. -Involvement in all technical developments and the packaging graphics process from conception through to getting the product out. -To ask the client the right questions and to ensure they consider size, colour, number of colour packs and other vital production aspects. -Utilising the support of a studio and technical team where necessary and knowing when to ask. -Chance to prove and progress to Account Director for the long term so this person must be more than a project manager or account manager CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: -Must have experience in a packaging account management role with senior level stakeholder responsibilities and control over the packaging artwork process. -Must have experience in packaging graphics / reprographics / packaging artwork -Excellent project management skills are essential along with good presentation and meeting skills -Must stand out as somebody who is ready to prove and progress to AD -Will have understanding of technical print processes and studio requirements. -Will have experience of working with major clients, ideally within FMCG or Retail (such as Cadbury's, Unilever, Waitrose, M&S, Sainsbury's, Unilever, P&G, Coca Cola) -Commercial knowledge is highly advantageous - including estimating, using internal systems, tendering, price matrix. -Must be able to operate closely with the client and empathise yet be tough when necessary. -Must be extremely organised, customer service focused and autonomous. -Must be confident face to face, instructing individuals and when in client meetings. -Will have experience of colour management, artwork and colour separation -Will be a doer as well as an instructor of tasks COMPANY: -Great company culture and employee retention -Fantastic & stable client base of recognised clients -A global organisation with offices and presence in other countries. -Offering excellent training, career prospects and longevity.
