Description Based at County Hall, Penryhn Road Kingston Upon Thames KT1 2DN. Please note that Surrey County Council's headquarters, where this role is currently based, will be phasing a relocation back into Surrey starting at the end of this year to support our Community Vision 2030' About the role This role will support two teams, the Adult Social Care (ASC) Projects Team and the ASC Information and Engagement Team, providing a wide range of administrative support and some digital skills support. The Projects Team's particular remit is to strengthen the link between the strategic objectives of the directorate and the operational practices needed to deliver them. The team is made up of Project Managers and Project Officers who provide high quality support in delivering strategic change. The ASC Information and Engagement team has a wide remit covering the strategic lead for information and advice about care and support, engagement with user groups and hard to reach groups. It is also the digital communications strategic lead for the directorate. The successful postholder will help facilitate the smooth functioning of both teams and support a range of activities including: SAP orders and budget management; SAP absence management for teams; Stationery/supplies ordering and management; Management and maintenance of a range of key databases used for engagement and information sharing purposes; ASC publication stock levels management; Ongoing support for a range of projects including communications to stakeholders; booking meetings; minute taking, arranging consultation events etc. In addition to these duties, helping support our digital resources would be included as part of a structured development opportunity. This could include some data inputting of services into Surrey Information Point (SIP) directory, searching for content for social media posts and the SIP calendar of events. Training and induction will be provided for all aspects of the role. The particular skills we are looking for include strong Microsoft Office IT experience in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, excellent customer service, planning and organisation, attention to detail, accuracy in writing. Key personal qualities we are seeking include: self-motivation, problem solving, using initiative, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever changing environment and an in interest in improving administrative processes and continuous learning.
