Overview

They have invested over $1 billion in more than 12,000 conservation initiatives since 1995. They are foundation with funding from individuals and bequests, government sources and corporations. Your new role As the Senior Internal Auditor you will lead, plan and organise the delivery of the organisation's objectives by evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes both in the UK and abroad whilst conforming to International Internal Auditing Standards. You will report to the Head of Internal Audit and be part of a team of 4. Day-to-day you will plan, organise and carry out audit reviews as well as communicate results and make suggestions to improve controls and add value to the organisation's processes. You will monitor management's response and the implementation of your recommendations too. You will also carry out fraud investigations in line with our fraud response plan as well as advise managers on systems of internal control. This role will have 10% International travel in a year. What you'll need to succeed You will be CIIA, CCAB or equivalent qualified with considerable experience of leading complex internal audit reviews, ideally you will have experience in working for a charity and overseas work experience. You will be able to give value added solutions, comfortable communicating with people at all levels and be skilled at managing multiple stakeholders' expectations. There is a need to be a self-starter, be able to work on your own and have a common-sense approach. Finally, a desire to work for a charity and share its ethos and passion is vital.
