Overview

Our client based in Stevenage is looking for an interim Email/e-commerce Manager to help cover a particularly busy period during which they are migrating to a "dynamic email" strategy. The role will finish at the end of October. As they go through this significant IT project there are a number of other projects which need to be completed during a similar time frame and so an additional pair of hands are needed for this period. This company was established over 150 years ago and has over 145,000 members to date. They are passionate about their products and their membership community and therefore do not buy or sell anything they do not believe in. Main duties: Design and build emails and landing pages, assisting with: o Developing a plan / calendar of activity, working with the brand and product marketing managers, to achieve digital marketing objectives - in particular through email o Contributing to the Marketing team's sales / acquisition / traffic objectives by ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of all online aspects associated with integrated marketing campaigns - email, and associated content online (deciduous content / evergreen content) o Designing and setting live landing pages for our campaigns and offers keeping in line with brand guidelines, industry best practice and competitor activity Manage email marketing campaigns, assisting with: o Taking the brief, building emails and sending campaigns, liaising with colleagues and software providers to solve any issues that may arise o Contributing ideas and implement agreed email testing o Designing new email templates when the need arises o Trigger email campaigns throughout the customer lifecycle to maximise traffic (with the support of the CRM Manager and Digital Marketing Manager) A/B testing on emails, assisting with: o Setting up A/B and MVT Testing on various email / landing pages to establish the most effective o Tracking and reporting on email campaigns in order to guide improvements o Ensuring that all email campaigns comply with current email best practice in the industry and with appropriate legal requirements Development of brand content and offer/deal detail, assisting with: o The general brand content of the website, using the Content Management System to ensure that information is accurate and that it appears correctly across different browsers and devices o Migrating content across to a new website Essential Experience: Designing and building Dynamic/ Personalised emails Using A/B testing packages to optimise design Excellent experience with a variety of ESP and CRM Tools.
