Efficient Sourcing are delighted to be the sole recruiter for this leading Energy Supplier. This business has positioned itself as the clear market leader within its category of the UK fuel market. They are now looking for a strong experienced Product Manager to join their business and help consolidate and grow their dominant market position, developing future proof product and NPD fuel strategies as the industry moves into a new era of fuel products. The Role: Accountable for the future fuels strategy for the business. Analyse and draw insight from a wide range of sources to develop a clear view of the trends and market developments Be the lead expert in the changing market place, and at the forefront of technical advances in the fuels and energy market Be the lead contact and act as spokesperson to governing bodies, government, European organisations and third party suppliers on their future energy strategy Work with the leadership team and the wider senior management on product and energy strategies Develop compelling business cases that allow robust business decisions to be made in regard to investment in technology and product/service opportunities Create and lead the technology roadmap Develop customer value propositions and marketing plans for new product introduction Develop and lead world class marketing campaigns to launch new products/services Work with supplies and operations to ensure the smooth introduction of new products Manage third party supplier relationships for adjacency products and services Understand and analyse the customer journey and market to facilitate complementary product and service creation Manage and develop a Product Manager. Be the company Energy representative on several industry bodies, including UKIFDA in UK and Europe Work with government, blue chip customers, NGO’s, associations and other associations on the future of liquid fuels and the energy sector Become a leading figure in the sector and speak with authority at events Lead the public relations effort for energy and liquid fuels Work closely with the relevant Heads of Sales/Sectors to develop integrated sales and marketing initiatives - customer acquisition, retention, growth and win-back Research, translate and communicate market and customer insights to internal stakeholders and utilise to inform proposition development Collaborate with sales to deliver product/service targets to plan Utilise the stage and gate process for all product/service introductions Understand the portfolio of products, the market needs, and product life cycle Lead the promotion of ancillary products and services in line with the business KPIs Working with commercial sales teams, to review sales and marketing performance, including using performance data to challenge sales teams In line with the company’s vision, analysis and proposals for business growth opportunities, which would contribute to incremental profit for the business Influence sales teams for prioritising sales initiatives Develop close links with senior people at large blue chip organisations to allow collaboration on future fuels projects Be the expert for sales teams and others to consult with regarding innovation, NPD and future fuels and energy In order to be considered for this role you must have gained significant experience in driving the Product Management strategy for a sizeable business and be a highly influential individual with strong stakeholder management skill. You will be an exceptional presenter with the gravitas to represent the company with governing bodies, government, European organisations and third party suppliers regards future energy strategies.
