Overview
Business Development Administrator - Duties and Responsibilities You will play a key role in driving new business by producing commercial bids, tenders and proposals, and administration support to the Business Development team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled creative writer with a very strong attention to detail and strong communication skills. Responsibilities: Research relevant industries and competitors Gather information from within the business to answer pre-qualification questionnaires and initial phase proposals Collect and regularly update appropriate data for bids, e.g. financial records Check and observe the rules to be followed when writing specific bids Communicate technical information in graphical and other easy-to-understand ways Write, edit and submit draft versions of bids to the Business Development team Maintain accurate records and save material to a shared bid library for future use Adhere to strict submission deadlines and organise own workload appropriately Assist with writing tasks and provide information for team members and colleagues within the business Contribute to and work effectively as part of the Business development team Manage group social media accounts with updates and targeted campaigns. Carry out administration and system management duties as requested by Business Development Director. Telephone leads and prospects to generate meetings for Business Development Team. Support Business Development strategy in driving new business in the identified region. Skills & Experience: Experience in writing bids/proposals Excellent levels of literacy and numeracy Excellent typing, telephone, communication and organisational skills Excellent ICT & Technology skills inc all office applications Understanding of social media applications inc Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook. Good attention to detail Ability to stay calm under pressure Methodical and thorough approach to work An excellent team player and desire to show initiative Excellent understanding of commercial tendering process and associated activities Experience in writing & production of reports/proposals Excellent graphic design and document production skills Experience of working to tight and strict deadlines Excellent research experience and abilities Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 9:00am - 5:30pm Location: West London
