Overview
Our client is a multi-award winning building consultancy and architecture practice, operating in the UK and internationally. Description: An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Bid Writer to be based in their Huddersfield office. Working with an established Bid Writing team, you will be responsible for producing professionally written bid content, ensuring that all the client’s questions have been answered as fully as possible and that AHR has given itself the best possible chance of success. Key Responsibilities • Writing and preparing of bids and submissions to potential and existing clients including tender submissions, PQQs/SQs, proposals and quotes. • Providing support to senior members of staff including the Bid Manager. • Preparation and management of bid content from a variety of colleagues throughout the group including Directors, Building Surveyors and Architects. • Assist in the compilation of documentation for bids and tenders and other business development and marketing projects. • Preparation of bid content including case studies for our previous projects, CVs of relevant staff, charts and diagrams, and writing answers to clients’ questions. • Working within the AHR Marketing & Business Development team, maintaining and building excellent working relationships with Directors and employees throughout the business including Central Marketing and external contacts. • Ensure bid materials and company information are up to date and current. • Help to maintain a spreadsheet of key skills, expertise, and qualifications of staff. • Undertake research and market study of potential clients and projects. • Helping to maintain a set of past answers and other company information to assist with bids and tenders. • Assisting with the Social Media Strategy. Skills & Experience Required • A qualification ideally in Marketing, Business Studies, English Literature, Journalism or another related subject • Proven track record gained in a similar position within a relevant industry. • Creative writing and the ability to communicate in both verbal and written formats using appropriate media for different audiences both internally and externally. • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet deadlines. • Attention to detail is essential to ensure that any marketing material generated is grammatically correct, free of spelling errors, on-brand, and conveys the correct message on the services we offer professionally. • Good team working and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels. • Ability to work within branding guidelines and document templates • Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision, and as part of a team.
