Shopper & Product Marketing Executive Bicester Purpose of Job A Shopper & Product Marketing Executive vacancy has arisen in our Marketing department to work alongside the team in delivering a varied marketing role across Trade/Shopper/ Product. The team needs someone who can utilise their marketing experience in managing the POS materials, some product management and shopper marketing. The person will need to be experienced in planning, development, implementation, and analysis within consumer retail customers. Responsibilities Management of Point of Sale Manage POS planning, development, implementation and analysis within consumer retail customers Manage the overall consumer Point of Sale budget reporting to CM and SPM on a monthly basis and highlighting any issues or opportunities Work with the Insights Manager and relevant sales contact to understand the success of each of the promotions Work pro-actively with sales on the development of promotional plans and proposals Manage the POS suite ensuring it’s up to date, relevant and in line with benefits/messaging Develop point-of-sale ideas (from briefing to conception), in conjunction with Group. Sourcing and briefing agencies, ensuring cost efficiencies without compromising on quality Use critical path analysis to plan all projects and ensure that the progress of all projects is clearly communicated to all involved Ensure proposal and sign off procedures are followed with new projects Ensure that trade marketing information for sales presenters are accurate and up to date Ensure familiarity with in-store environments and trade customer category layouts - ensure store visits and compliance checks are underway regularly with regular reviews of the competition and other POS ideas Filter Disc, Own Label and Pressurised Product Management Ensure good working knowledge of Fill&Go, Filter Disc, Pressurised and Own Label product ranges including availabilities, launch/phase-out timings, specifications, applications, pricing, quality issues, etc. Develop and maintain (or source from HQ) product road map Management, with support from SPM, of all new product launches, managing team to ensure a successful introduction to optimised UK distribution Maximising partnerships and collaborations for commercial and brand association benefit Maintain product, where appropriate with support of ACCM, making recommendations where necessary for new materials. Ensure sales and marketing teams are aware of available literature Maintain good communication with HQ product management team, ensuring all relevant product information is fed through to the UK and that UK feedback is communicated Ensure good working knowledge of reporting systems to be aware of current sales levels Development/evolution of 5-year category strategy involving key stakeholders Development of all marketing activity around the above product categories Responsibility for any OL packaging or product changeovers in close cooperation with HQ team Manage all day to day product queries and work with the Snr Product Manager on the launch of any new products Monitor and report on competitor and BRITA market activity with recommendations as appropriate Support ACCM with the development of generic and bespoke (retailer-specific) POS Work with Digital Manager to review and optimize retailer online sites Shopper Marketing Work with the Insights Manager and SPM to ensure that consumer/customer insights remain at the heart of all activity and a consistent strategy and activity plan is created for focus accounts Alignment with nominated accounts to identify and implement key shopper marketing activities Development with NAM of shopper marketing strategy Regular idea generation and discussion of shopper initiatives with retailer teams Review of category performance and input into range and fixture optimisation and promotional and communications strategy Team support Provide support for Snr Product Manager on ad hoc core requests Provide general support to marketing colleagues as appropriate and defined on RACI grid Qualifications Professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing is essential
