About the job This is an exciting new role to work with key international geographies to grow Pearson BTEC and Pearson Apprenticeships brand reach and engagement, marketing leads and revenues among key audience groups including schools, colleges, employers, higher education institutions, learners and parents, government and education leaders and stakeholders. Salary is between £ 40,000 to £ 50,000 pa (depends on experience). Key Accountabilities Develop and establish narrative and marketing assets for priority audiences in priority geographies to grow the awareness, perception and consideration for the Pearson BTEC brand internationally Work closely with senior leaders in Pearson who are in discussion with governments, governmental bodies and 3rd party organisations e.g. TVET and DIT UK to ensure we are making the most of international networking and promotional opportunities and Pearson's leaders are supported with high quality content and messaging Launch new BTEC suites at levels 2 and 3 and grow Pearson BTEC revenues in priority geographies. Guide the geographies in the promotion of a wide range of career focused education products and services - including professional development training for teachers and student digital resources to drive monetisation Promote engagement with employers through international employer forums and skills events to drive recognition, partnerships and revenues (including direct to consumer) Grow international involvement in global Pearson BTEC initiatives including BTEC Works, BTEC Awards, the International Festival of Learning and the Festival of Education Work in partnership with the geographies to create a rich content library of case studies for priority audiences. This includes the creation of employer case studies and promotional content to increase sales of digital resources and short courses etc. Leadership and Management Lead and inspire, influence and motivate individuals and prioritise coaching and staff development. Be a marketing expert, advising other functions on marketing approaches. Internal and External stakeholders This is a mid-management role with a lot of senior interaction, which requires direct and cross-functional leadership abilities. Qualifications The role will involve leading cross-functional meetings and also presenting from time to time to senior stakeholder groups. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience in: ? International Marketing, with examples of working with overseas teams to launch and establish a UK brand internationally. ? Growing social media followers and social engagement ? Excellent written and verbal communications skills ? Strong influencing and negotiation skills ? Project management skills ? Budget management ? Agency management ? People management Essential: ? 5 years’ marketing experience. ? Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in marketing or business ? Track record of successful performance in a marketing role ? Commercial, results driven, at ease with numbers and building spreadsheets and basic ROI models and gap analyses ? High level of enthusiasm and drive – used to self-start, inspire and motivate others ? Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively both internally and externally ? A desire to constantly stay abreast of new marketing techniques, tools and developments ? Ability to work under pressure, staying ahead of complex schedules ? A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Desirable: ? Good understanding of the UK education sector Pearson competencies: ?
