Overview

Role acts as key point of contact for Enabling Solutions (Back Office Processes) business analysis by determining high level design requirements based on business capability needs. Responsible also for analysing the needs of business stakeholders across the organisation to help identify how these can best be met. The role will need to work closely with the business to understand and challenge business processes and how best technology could meet their needs. Working across Finance , HR, Sales, Marketing, Communications as a key responsibility although others areas may be required. ACCOUNTABILITIES Consult with the business to identify the right initiatives to carry forward, assess their feasibility and build credible supporting business cases. Develop RFI and RFP documentation as part of any package selection Develop alongside the business documenting the business requirements for business systems initiatives, using process expertise, technology expertise Utilise analytical techniques to assist the business in defining coherent and consistent requirements and challenge business ‘status quo’. Create design Assess the implications of business change, analysing and mapping business processes and identifying the activities needed to transition to new ways of working and technologies Help to ensure that solution projects deliver what the business needs, ensuring that the requirements are clearly communicated, that the impact of project changes. Build credibility with the business streams by developing a deep understanding of their current business systems and strategy and building strong relationships across the organisation. Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of a business process area or areas, including business practices, business systems, analytical approaches and an understanding of technology capabilities. Good understanding of Data Processing, flows and modelling to aid data warehousing solutions cross business functions to deliver intelligent management and operational information. EXPERIENCE Qualifications/ Knowledge Knowledge of the business - both at a business process level Process Modelling etc. – general approaches, tools & applications in process & data modelling & issue analysis Skills Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Able to carry out critical appraisal and evaluation and to provide constructive feedback regarding requirements or deliverables. Excellent facilitation skills coupled with analytical ability to elicit critical information Able to challenge the status quo – constructively and appropriately challenge what, why and how things are Able to research – investigate, assess, and assimilate relevant professional and business material to further improve the overall solution approach. Business process modelling in ERP and Back Office functional solutions and with complex legacy environments Able to think laterally - creative thinking and problem solving skills Experience Participation in change projects at senior level; held lead and influential roles in Business Analysis role Experience in integrated people, process and technology change. Experienced as a team member and preferably also as a team leader.
