Our client is riding the wave of this Technology boom. They are one of Europe’s leading digital search and networking firms. They work with extremely fast growing Private Equity and Venture capital businesses. They also work with established businesses going through transformation and change. They are very different in the way that they work and offer a lot of variety in the role. They have offices in The UK, Europe and the United States and encourage relocation They work with Venture capital backed firms in the Fintech and Mobile space Later stages privately backed companies placing roles such as CDO and CTO They work at an extremely senior level and the minimum fee they charger per assignment is £50,000. Your role as a researcher will involve: Preparing for Pitches and doing background research into companies and competitors. My client needs to demonstrate they have an outstanding understanding of the client’s business, the backgrounds of those in the business, and what type of individual would make an effective addition (or in cases, replacement). Researchers will travel with consultants to the client’s premises to help present the pitch. Researchers may add colour to any discussion regarding the search process, of which they will have played a central role. Mostly this is an educational exercise for the researcher in preparation to becoming a Consultant. It is also a key differentiator to other recruitment/search firms, particularly large ones, which do not afford Researchers such client exposure. longer process of mapping the wider "candidate universe" begins. This involves using a combination of our database, referrals, LinkedIn and company websites to find and record individuals who, on the face of it, seem to fit the role. That universe will then be narrowed, using a number of factors, to those who look like the most attractive prospects These individuals are then "Head-Hunted" by the Researcher via email, or phone. Those that are interested will be invited to meet/discuss further with a Consultant. After each meeting, the Researcher will debrief with the Consultant and decide together whether the candidate should be put forward (short-listed). Short-listed candidates are presented to the client. The Consultant will primarily do this, but the Researcher may be called upon to provide any additional colour to a candidate. The inclusion of certain candidates may have to be defended if they are not entirely in-line with the brief, and the client’s expectations managed with regard to level of interest in the role (and therefore the quality of the individuals they can attract), compensation levels of those short-listed and how the brief may need to be altered accordingly. During (or sometimes after), the meeting, the client will decide who they wish to interview from the short-list. The Researcher will coordinate most interviews and learn, by listening to the Consultant, how to prepare candidates for interview as well as collect any feedback from client or candidate after each meeting. Again, by learning from the Consultant, the Researcher will learn how to tactfully manage the relationship between client and candidates. For instance, it is important for the Researcher and Consultant to stay abreast of any competing processes a candidate may be in, or to ensure a candidate is kept "warm" if there are any delays. During this time, the Researcher & Consultant will often continue searching for additional candidates. A search does not end until the role has been filled. Entry level salary for this role is £28,000 Bonus. Once you have been promoted to senior associate your basic will rise to £40,000. This progression can be achieved in 12-18 months. My clients are flexible on package and can offer higher salaries to candidates with transferable experience. In order for candidates to be successful and considered you must be: Passionate about securing a career in Executive Search Interested in the Technology sector Have excellent communication skills
