Overview

9 month fixed term contract Purpose of the role: The role of the Development Coordinator is to ensure the successful implementation of the Development Strategy focusing on the pillars of Events and Performance. An important element of this position is to provide administrative support to 10 Development Officers who are 'out in the field’ advising and assisting national associations on their activities. A key task is to ensure that projects are administered to the highest level and to ensure a good service. Responsibilities: To coordinate events and touring Teams logistics as allocated by the Development Line Manager and ensure that these run as efficiently and effectively as possible. To liaise with relevant Development Line Manager / Development Director on projects as appropriate and ensure that they are kept informed of progress affecting their areas of responsibility. To attend regular meetings with the Development Line Manager regarding division of work / progress of projects. To liaise closely with departmental colleagues, Development Officers, other departments, National and Regional Associations, as appropriate. To travel to events as required and appropriate. To deal with general ad hoc correspondence. To provide administrative support to the Development Officers, including reconciling cash expenses, travel arrangements, visa assistance as necessary. Skills/competencies required: Fluent in both verbal and written English and French Excellent administrative skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook: essential; web management: advantageous but not essential) Experience in Events & Tour organisation Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously Professional attitude, understanding the importance of attention to detail Ability to assimilate and impart information efficiently and accurately Good communication skills and people skills Proactive, ability to work on own initiative and under pressure Diplomatic, team player A good sense of fun and humour and be a team player We regret that we are unable to acknowledge every application.
