Overview
A leading Media company with a very successful portfolio of shows including HR, Transport and Aviation are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team and sell digital advertising space. They are looking for a highly self-motivated Digital Advertising Business Development Manager to join their successful advertising sales team, selling digital advertising space to their existing client base and also sourcing new leads through warm opportunities and previous leads. The Digital Advertising BDM will be responsible for maximizing revenues from existing customers and generating new business opportunities (70:30), by building effective relationships with decision makers, understanding their goals and communicating our ability to support their business through sponsorship, exhibition stand and paid speaking opportunities. Responsibilities and Duties: Complete revenue responsibility for specific market sectors. Exceed individual & team revenue targets. Source and secure new business and build future pipelines. Maximize business from existing accounts by mapping, planning & development. Secure revenue from prospects, targets & lapsed customers. Develop productive relationships at the appropriate levels, to drive business and client acquisition. Understand market sectors, trends & industry developments to ensure a competitive edge. Understand, promote & sell concepts at launch stage. Deal with business of varying sizes, SME to blue-chip. Produce compelling proposals ranging anything from £1,000 to £100,000. Contribute to compelling sales materials to support revenue acquisition. Ensure contracts are signed and shared before marketing schedules start. Manage customer accounts throughout the entire sales cycle to deliver excellent customer service. Attend industry events to network, understand the competitor marketplace & represent our brand. Keep accurate, up to date records, pipelines. Attend regular progress meetings and report accordingly. Adhere to the businesses KPI’s on call times and meeting rates. Work with internal teams including editorial, marketing, research & finance to ensure smooth business operations and client satisfaction. Support and promote a positive and collaborative team environment. What we are looking for: A proven track record in selling digital advertising Positive team player. Determination to reach goals and exceed individual expectations. Ability to pivot between a consultative portfolio sell and 'smash & grab’ last minute sales. Evidence of developing revenue from new business. Proven ability to grow existing accounts and regain lapsed accounts. Effective communicator internally & externally. Ability to work with senior industry contacts. Adept at networking and able to socialize productively. Knowledge of the HR market would be an advantage. You will also be entitled to a generous 26 days holiday, increasing by 1 day per year to a maximum of 30 days. Their beautiful modern offices are based in the centre of West London with easy access to tubes and over ground connections and working hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
