Overview
Are you a university sports scholar or high-level athlete looking to transition into a career outside of sport? The Transition Phase is an early careers programme that supports talent from an elite sporting background. We utilise our own experience of having successfully transitioned into careers to provide athletes with career guidance and support, making them aware of their transferable skills and how they can be utilised in a professional environment, whilst also providing organisations with access to high potential talent. We are currently looking for high achieving athletes who are interested in a career in sales. Former high-level athletes tend to excel in sales because of their valuable skill sets; being target-driven, resilient and loving a challenge. As a graduate sales executive, you will be Attaining a thorough knowledge of your chosen industry. Presenting the company's product or service in the best light possible by drawing on marketing techniques. Developing rapport with key business leaders. Developing existing customer relationships. Sourcing and securing new customers. Creating a pipeline of new business. Ideally, you will have Experience of playing sport to a high level. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in-person and over the phone. An outgoing and energetic personality. The ability to see problems as opportunities. An assertive and proactive approach in everything you do. A results-driven attitude. A keen interest in the technology sector.
