Overview

Indirect Category Manager for a Global Insurance Company based in Central London Your new company You will join a recognised, reputable global insurance provider based in Central London. They specialise in, insurance products, for accident & health, property and casualty, reinsurance and life insurance globally. Their annual revenue is over c. £13bn, they have a global presence giving the person stepping into this role exposure and opportunity to get involved with Global projects. Your new role This is a 12-month Fixed-Term-Contract to support the procurement team in strategic category management across an array of categories. Whilst there is a focus on the Operations and Professional Services categories there will be opportunity to get involved with technology categories. You will cover an EMEA remit and shape the category management strategy, identifying opportunities and ensuring that the areas you look after managed under procurement best practice. Day-to-day you will be required to manage stakeholder relationships ensuring you understand their requirements and are able to effectively pipeline for the future. Aspects of your role will also involve vendor/contract management, monitoring SLAs/KPIs and commercials ensuring that suppliers are delivering to the best of their ability; regularly carrying out supplier review meetings. What you'll need to succeed Prior experience with Professional Services category spend is highly desirable and any exposure to IT procurement will also go a long way. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have delivered clear category plans with strong examples of delivering value to previous organisations, in terms of risk management, cost efficiencies and procurement best practice.
