Overview

DS Smith is currently recruiting for a Packaging UK Compliance Manager. The role will ensure that Packaging UK is aligned with the ISO standards to which it subscribes and represent Packaging UK on the appropriate working groups and committees. The role will align the Packaging UK with a "One Standard" approach, to ensure consistency across the region, drive simplicity in the ISO Management infrastructure and streamline the accreditation process to reduce audit costs. Key Responsibilities: Work with accreditation bodies to ensure that Packaging UK 'One Standard’ is aligned Reduce environmental impact and drive cost reduction through energy efficiencies and review of certification fees. Build standardized, harmonized management systems across all sites in Packaging UK, integrating them into one integrated management system. Facilitate audits, analyse findings and ensure feedback is given Develop the structure & content of the One Standard training program, to include the development of training materials, creating development plans and tracking progress. Support and monitor performance across multiple clusters, develop new strategies to mitigate any possible risks Deliver consistent ways of working and share good practices. Provide Learning & Development Opportunities to grow capabilities of the 'One Standard’ representatives Ensure the Packaging UK approach One Standard is aligned with the Packaging Divisional direction of travel. Actively participate in the delivery of the Regional Operational agenda and deployment strategy. Lead by example in everything you do, ensuring the DS Smith values are upheld in all areas of work The Candidate: The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following: Demonstrable knowledge of Management systems. Demonstrable knowledge of data analysis & auditing, able to use data to drive decision making Able to train others in Management systems, auditing and data analysis. Able to operate in a matrix organization with a Regional mind-set Be a people person who is Dynamic, Self-driven, energetic, proactive and enjoys working with multiple teams. Open minded, authentic and to the point personality. Working to the highest standards in terms of ambition, performance, seeing things through, integrity and ethics. Excellent Facilitation, Project Management & connection skills. Strong grasp of Microsoft Office applications-particularly ppt & excel. Excellent communication and persuasion skills, resilient Strong stakeholder management skills. Experience in CERTUS is advantageous. Ideal Qualifications IEMA certificate or equivalent Ideally degree level education, however not essential as industrial experience is highly relevant.
