Overview
Working in a busy events team within Marketing and Business Development to ensure the smooth, cost effective and timely management of client events, i.e. seminars, dinners, conferences and corporate hospitality for the UK. Specifically working at office locations in Glasgow, Edinburgh and occasionally London. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 year's experience as an Events Manager preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. They will be responsible for: Organisation, management and communication of events as appropriate. Preparing and managing budgets. Identifying, negotiating, booking and confirming suppliers i.e. venue, catering and facilities. Briefing/debriefing with department or main internal contact (pre and post event). Collating post event feedback, carrying out analysis and communicating recommendations to stakeholders. Experience: Working in a similar role within a Legal or professional service firm. Ability to demonstrate experience of managing a number of events (including international) simultaneously. Excellent knowledge of project and campaign management and marketing plans. Knowledge of Microsoft Office package essential. Good working knowledge of Client Relationship Management (CRM) database, such as InterAction (IA) would be advantageous. Attributes: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to quickly establish good working relationships and promote best practice across all offices and at all levels. Highly organised in order to successfully manage a varied and heavy workload. A successful team player with proven capability of leading team members Excellent attention to detail with methodical approach to work, with a strong focus on accuracy.
