Communications Officer Ipswich £28,500 - £30,000 per annum Full Time (Part time would be considered) Permanent Our client provides homes for over 7,500 residents throughout Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridge. The Role As a key member of their People & Culture directorate, the Communications Officer will take responsibility of, and demonstrate experience in, the creative and effective use of digital and online communication. Using analytical tools, you will have an insight into engagement strategies for targeting different audiences across multiple channels. You will be adept at creating and overseeing the design of visually appealing and accessible content, including graphics and professional documents such as publications, banners and branded materials. The Communications Officer will promote the brand, using their experience and knowledge of developing relationships with local, national and specialist media. In turn, they will have the ability to communicate effectively to achieve regular coverage with these channels. Due to the nature of the role flexible working will be required, including some weekend and evening work. About you The ideal candidate will hold a degree or equivalent in a related field, such as Chartered Institute of Marketing, and will hold a leadership qualification or be willing to achieve this within 18 - 24 months. You will have proven experience in a similar role, where you will have led on and evaluated media coverage and PR. You will also have experience in - Using software such as Adobe Creative Cloud and social media platforms Responding to media enquiries Producing engaging content Managing the production of quality content Key skills and attributes - Ability to think strategically, identifying new opportunities Articulate, confident communicator, both written and verbally Ability to manage several stakeholders both internally and externally Confident user of information technology They will consider full or part time hours for the right candidate.
