INSPIRATION FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY WORLD Senior Research Executive – Behavioural Practice London, 4 Millbank. We are looking for a talented Senior Research Executive to join our Behavioural Practice. This is an opportunity for incredible talent development in return for passion and hard work. You will contribute to delivering projects within our growing behavioural insights research and consultancy offer. Our work is always interesting; it often involves sensitive issues, knotty problems and vulnerable audiences; and it makes a real difference to the world we live in. The Behavioural Practice brings together varied expertise – including behavioural economics and cognitive and social psychology; qualitative and quantitative research methods; creative and design; data analytics; communications consultancy and capability building – to deliver a full-service behavioural offer to UK Government. The Practice takes on a wide range of projects for clients across Government and the wider public sector, tackling issues from environmental behaviours to adult skills and career progression to modern slavery. We advise clients on the opportunities for behaviour change at all stages in the policy cycle; provide insight into what influences individual and organisational behaviours; design interventions and strategies for driving change; and trial and evaluate interventions. The successful candidate will need to be excited about working on high-profile and complex communications and behaviour change research projects, and able to handle multiple demands and work to tight deadlines. There’s no one ‘right person’ this job – but it’s more likely that you’ll enjoy us and we’ll love you if you: Have qualitative skills and experience; some exposure to quantitative and secondary research methods is also an advantage Have an interest in Government behaviour change work – projects to understand behaviour and design interventions and strategies for change, including communications campaigns Are ambitious, and interested in innovation and creative thinking – excited by learning curves and being challenged Relish the opportunity to contribute to a growing, innovative team which is both well established and always keen to improve and push the boundaries Are willing to muck in – recognising that research offers big highs (presenting to Ministers; saving lives) via day-to-day hard work (data checking, timetable management, etc) Are able and happy to respond quickly and work at pace when required Care about quality and ‘getting it right’ – taking pride in doing great work Have excellent verbal and written communication skills – and be interested in honing them further Are interested in behaviour change theory and practice – ideally, with some great experience to back up your interest, but certainly a willingness to further develop expertise Are a real team player – interested in working with others to do great things, keen to have a laugh and enjoy your colleagues, and eager to learn from others in the team CAPABILITIES No two days will ever be the same – but fundamentally the role will involve: Managing projects of varying scales and speeds – acting as key contact for clients, meeting deadlines, tracking costs, and maintaining quality and rigour Developing research tools – questionnaires, topic guides, stimulus, analysis frameworks, etc Line managing one or more individuals and supporting their work and development Working with partner agencies (PR, digital, advertising, media, etc) and other parts of Kantar (other Divisions in the UK, and Public Division teams in other countries) Contributing to reporting and presentations for varied audiences Juggling multiple projects – proactively (with support) managing your own time and prioritising effectively Developing, over time, an area of specialist expertise (behaviour change, client consultancy, methodological innovation etc.) Participating in wider team activities – both with our quantitative communications team and with our wider government practice Kantar Public is an equal opportunities employer.
