About the Role We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of strategic communications that leverages our integrated suite of services, including financial communications, corporate reputation, transaction communications and public affairs in all the major markets around the world. The Strategic Communications practice of FTI Consulting is one of the world's most highly regarded communications consultancies. With over 50 clients spanning the full technology, media and telecom spectrum, this team provides strategic corporate, financial and crisis communications support to a wide range of companies with an equally wide range of needs. What You'll Do Deliver to Clients Provide enthusiasm, contacts and insights to support a broad range of corporate client accounts Manage client expectations and anticipate their needs Work alongside colleagues to ensure timescales and quality assurance are adhered to Ensure client programmes are agreed and project plans are in place Proactively take ownership of research projects and others client / team needs to ensure work is delivered promptly, to a high standard Focus on client retention through exemplary service delivery Anticipate potentially challenging situations and evaluate alternatives with senior team Assist senior team members in creatively preparing and delivering client programmes Team Involvement Participate in weekly team meetings by contributing ideas, managing agendas and deliverables Share best practice, ideas and client information with the team Share knowledge, insights and experience with colleagues Develop relationships with other teams within FTI Have and be ready to build upon a network of media and influencer contacts, sharing helpful connections and ideas across the team Support business development Seek and support new business opportunities and produce fresh ideas Help the team expand the TMT portfolio through business with existing clients and the broader FTI group Proactively network with media and industry contacts, as well as potential clients How You'll Grow We have ambitious plans for 2020 and we need energetic, enthusiastic people to help us make good on those plans. Our increasing success in securing complex, corporate PR mandates with fast paced technology companies of all sizes, means that we are regularly planning and executing global thought leadership campaigns, managing crises, launching new products and profiling senior executives. The successful candidate will find themselves immersed in storytelling and managing corporate campaigns. This role will suit someone with a strong interest in the UK and global news cycle, who is enthusiastic about making an impact in the media debate that surrounds our sector. An interest in learning about financial communications - particularly relating to capital raising and public market reporting - would also be of value. Qualifications & Experience Educated to degree level or equivalent Over two years' experience in a corporate PR agency environment (or in-house communications role) at Consultant/Account Executive level is desirable Strong writing skills Have the desire to develop excellent contacts with the media Experience in the Technology, Media and Telecoms sectors an advantage Personal Requirements Excellent organisational and planning skills Ability to build strong rapport/relationships at all levels within FTI Consulting, client organisations and analysts Ability to work effectively within a busy team and the ability to prioritise a varied workload Takes a pragmatic and 'can do' approach, demonstrating high levels of personal responsibility and task ownership Exceptional written and verbal communications skills Our Benefits Apart from the well-structured career path and excellent team environment, our employees enjoy a variety of perks and benefits.
