Head of Commercial B2B - 4-6 months Initial Contract- Immediate Start Date - Edinburgh Your new company This globally recognised organisation, who is highly regarded in their industry, is looking for a Head of Commercial to join their marketing team due to market growth. This is initially on a 4-6 month contract basis whilst a permanent role is being finalised. Your new role Reporting to the Executive team, you will support an online project which is one of the organisations major income generating initiates. The current focus of this strategic project is to create a robust long term business plan and develop and launch a new Masters provision for 2021. Both these activities require immediate support from an Interim Head of Commercial role. Initial tasks that would need to be carried out include: Assessment of all current commercial contracts & in some instances renegotiation Prioritisation and negotiation of early B2B contracts Negotiations with new suppliers and partners Leading the development of sales information and dashboards Supporting the development of the business plan and associated financial Deep dive competitor scanning for early tactical advantage. There is no direct line reports for this position but you will liaise directly with the central marketing team. Short term priorities for this role is looking a current contracts and checking if there is a renegotiation that needs to take place, and also quick win contracts that attract and retain. What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in a B2B corporate and commercial environment will lead to your success. You will have a strong track record in strong negotiation skills that drive business/sales and brand engagement. You will be data driven to provide market insights, which will then provide a strategic and evidence based approach. It is desirable if you have knowledge of the digital learning environment but not essential. What you'll get in return You will be offered a salary of £51k, which will be paid to you either in a fixed term contract, day rate or hourly rate.
