Job Description

Exciting newly created Head of Digital Marketing position with a leading fast growth fintech organisation in Edinburgh who have doubled in size in the last 18 months. You will be an experienced high calibre marketing professional with a strong track record of leading marketing teams to maximise the use of a Product or App through the delivery of excellent, impactful marketing activity that supports the work of a sales team. The role: In this crucial role you will lead and champion the development and delivery of our their marketing strategy, drawing on your wide experience of direct response marketing and customer journey development. Collaborating across the business, you will lead your team to help achieve qualified lead targets that feed into the top of the sales funnel for new partner sign ups, then deliver and optimise a compelling lifelong customer journey that helps to maximise adoption, engagement and retention rates amongst professional service practices. With a solid track record of delivering marketing activity to support sales teams, you'll also be a strong leader who's passionate about developing and leading a successful, happy team. You will have a talent for motivating others to do their best work and coaching them in their development. As part of the Communications leadership team you will support the Communications Director and the overall work of the department, leading and championing the development and delivery of our the marketing strategy. Your background: * Experience as a senior marketing professional with a robust track record of successfully working with sales teams to generate leads and support sales and customer growth & retention, ideally within a B2B professional audience context. * A strong track record of leading strategy development and delivery including overseeing the modelling and tracking of key measures such as leads and end user numbers, related budgets, roadmaps, KPIs and targets. * Hands-on experience of traditional and digital media marketing, in particular digital performance channels and direct response marketing. * Proven experience of developing successful customer conversion, engagement and retention strategies, and an advanced understanding of email marketing & automation . * Experience in testing and optimising marketing activity and strategies through a robust, analytical methodology. * Confidence working with complex data sets to analyse activity and deliver actionable insights from analysis and source; wrangling and modelling data, to build complex and accurate data models and scenarios from a range of data points. * Strong planning and organisation skills, with the ability to manage projects and organise your own workload and that of direct line reports. * Strong leadership and people management skills balanced with real empathy and a genuine interest in developing people * A natural preference for collaboration and teamwork, able to interact and manage a wide range of stakeholders at different levels of seniority to deliver the best possible outcome for the business. * Excellent working knowledge of GDPR compliance & advertising standards. * Excellent customer insight and creative judgement. * Degree level education or equivalent, with a professional qualification in marketing.
