Overview
One of the largest healthcare communications agencies in the UK is looking for Medical Writers at levels such as Medical Writer; Senior Medical Writer and Principal Medical Writer to join its strong medical communications team in Holborn. As part of a huge international group that gives it access to global resources to meet the demands of the burgeoning pharmaceutical communications industry, they have a full service offering of advertising, PR and medical communications expertise. Depending on your experience-level successful candidates will be responsible for any number of writing projects as such as outlines, manuscripts, abstracts, slide presentations, posters, newsletters, independent papers, articles, business cases, etc to a high level of written and technical accuracy; researching assigned projects (including internet-based research, reading any supplied background materials, journal articles, study reports, etc); preparing drafts of graphics (tables, hand-drawn figures, charts) etc. You'll be working closely with clients, KOLs and authors to incorporate specific requirements and any changes to written materials; fact checking (including references) and spell checking manuscripts/project materials before submission to proof-reading and then the account team. You'll also be assisting and working with graphics staff and editorial support staff to provide necessary background and technical information required to complete tasks, and for review and approval of this work. Depending on your level, you should ideally have a PhD, and relevant years’ experience working in a healthcare communications agency science writing role.
