Overview
Maths and English Lead 37 hours a week, Temporary until June 2020 Salary up to £35,022 Location: North Notts College About the role The Maths and English Lead will work in a specified area of provision and will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Group’s English, Maths & Digital Strategy and associated stepping stone qualifications, including functional skills, within that area. Main Duties Your major objectives in this role will be: To co-ordinate and lead on the delivery of English and Maths within a curriculum area clearly articulating an ambitious vision and high expectations for what and how all learners can achieve. To support the curriculum department to implement strategies to ensure achievement of internal targets for English, maths and ICT, ensuring outcomes are continually improved and are in excess of national benchmarks; To support curriculum departments to meet quality standards laid down by external organisations for English, maths and ICT; To co-ordinate and lead on the tracking and monitoring of progression, achievement and destination of learners. To support the curriculum department with the embedding of English and maths in the curriculum area. Have you got what it takes? This is an exciting opportunity for an existing Maths and English Lead or an experienced Maths/English Lecturer looking to take the next step in their career. You will be working across the group providing strategic leadership in Maths and English as well as teaching within your curriculum area. Great communication and leadership skills are essential for this role. The curriculum areas you will cover for this contract will be Construction, Engineering and Computing. Experience in these areas would be desirable.
