Must have at least 4 years experience in the creative events field. £30,000 - £35,000 bonuses excellent benefits Job Role: An exciting opportunity to join this fast paced and growing Bournemouth based events agency as a Senior Event Manager. This role works across a variety of projects and briefs across the UK, taking them from initial enquiry through to completion. Being able to take the creative lead on each project is key; as well as working with the wider team to motivate and encourage creative thinking in their approach to each brief and client. Sitting within a fast-moving team, the capability to be able to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and excellent customer service skills is a must Events can include: • Awards ceremonies • Summer and Christmas parties • Promotion and product launches • Brand activations • Pop-up events • Private parties and events • Pop-up restaurants and bars • Social events Attributes & Skills: The role is hands-on and involves working as part of a team as well as managing junior team members. The following skill set is required: • Confident in business development and building and maintaining client liaisons • Faultless attention to detail • Extremely organised with managing workloads and events • Works well under pressure, ensuring the smooth coordination and running of an event with a frightening level of effectiveness • Clear interpersonal and communication skills • The ability to relish the challenge of negotiating supplier deals • Must understand the balance of making an event look great without excessive expenditure • The ability to liaise with both suppliers and clients in a timely and professional manner • Forward thinking and proactive with both clients and suppliers • Excellent time management skills - the ability to multi task as well as managing own task list • Budget management - ability to manage budgets set as well as actively looking for ways to reduce costs for clients • Enjoys the organisational process of an event • Motivation and passion for the events industry • Naturally using own initiative with a lot of 'get up and go’ Responsibilities: • Client management including overseeing service levels, post event reports and budgets • Researching areas for new business/new clients and completing business development action plans • Liaise with current clients to ascertain their precise event requirements as and when required • Produce detailed event proposals and event financial forecasts • Creative input in briefs as required - i.e. creative lead on a project as well as assisting junior team members • Review and sign off team proposals and budgets to ensure quality level and profit margins • Negotiate with venues and suppliers and secure services • Work on multiple day events at any one time, ensuring that service levels are achieved • Co-ordinate venue management, caterers, contractors, suppliers, equipment hire etc • Plan room layouts, entertainment design, decoration/theming design etc • Co-ordinate staffing requirements and briefings • Work with designers on any event branding • Oversee set up of events, on site event management and de-sets of events. Including co-ordinating suppliers, client enquiries, venue staff, entertainment programmes, décor/theming teams and all troubleshooting to ensure events run smoothly. • Post event de-set and evaluation. Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clearing the venue efficiently. Plus any data entry, analysis and reports required. • Marketing and social media - have a clear understanding of the business and the messaging that needs to be conveyed through social media channels and work with the Marketing Manager on this. • Assist the Managing and Operation Directors with day-to-day running of a business as a senior member of the team including; • Weekly reporting on Creative team input and output • Target, revenue and budget management • Team KPI’s • Organise and attend any meetings required What’s in it for you? • Competitive salary • Company bonus scheme • Personal bonus scheme • 28 days holiday • Free parking and use of company vehicles • Company Benefits such as restaurant and hotel discounts, office snacks, birthdays off and regular team events.
