About the Role: We are looking for a Social Media & Communications Executive to join our global PR team and help develop and execute our messages and campaigns, both through our social channels and in traditional media. We are looking for a keen self-starter who is extremely confident with social channels, is happy analysing what works and what doesn’t, is meticulous enough to be entrusted with our data and records and has the initiative to solve challenges along the way. This person will be joining a very busy and energised team that engages with users, the public, influencers and journalists, through social and traditional media. A large number of doctors, scientists and engineers at Babylon are hard at work building the AI that will help us meet our mission. The Social Media & Communications Executive will help us develop advocates, tell the story of our successes and use evidence to give our work the platform it deserves. The role will focus particularly on social media, but will also be involved in both proactive and reactive press office work. As part of a very busy team there is a lot of scope for developing journalist relationships, handling media enquiries, producing proactive content and pitching stories to journalists. The role is based at our head office in London, but will involve collaboration with colleagues around the world. The ideal candidate is deadline driven, collaborative, high-energy, and passionate about transforming healthcare. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Being a vocal team member who will help us challenge ourselves as we continuously think about how we can improve our work, engage better and maximise the impact of what we do Help shape the look, tone and voice of our social media channels to highlight the people we help and the work that we do Create, develop, and implement multimedia campaigns across all our social channels, working closely with teams across Babylon to discover relevant activities from around the business Work with the in-house design team to develop assets to help convey our messages on social media or support our work with journalists Engage with our users, advocates and influencers and help get their voices heard Use evidence to quickly respond to relevant social posts across a range of channels Assist with press office duties including handling media enquiries, assisting with interviews and compiling coverage reports Monitor, assess and report on relevant social and traditional media content and trends Share reports through a range of channels across our business, ensuring that our team are aware of significant developments and successful campaigns Develop and lead on administrative work logging and summarising incoming requests, output and outcomes Assist with interviews and events Requirements: 1-2 years’ of communications experience, in healthcare preferred but not essential Understands (or has the potential to understand) scientific, medical and technological issues, including academic publishing and material Engagingcommunicator with strong editorial skills and standards who can summarise evidence and makecompellingpoints Social/digital storytelling and content creation/curation experience Highly organised and resourceful self-learner who wants to develop and learn new skills Ability to work at speed and willing to work outside of normal hours when required Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with users, influencers, journalists, staff and external partners Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions Willingness to pitch in and assist with other projects and share responsibilities on an as-needed basis Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google suite of productivity applications
