Overview

head of, data management, DCAM, architecture, modelling I have been tasked to identify an experienced Head of Data Management for a leading Financial Services client in Edinburgh. You will be accountable for the design and implementation of a Data Management Framework for the company and lead the way in how they think about data management and align to best practice. It's a unique opportunity to define how best to manage their unique data assets and be part of a much wider ecosystem for data. Responsibilities The design and execution of a data management framework for the client at enterprise level. This framework driving the adoption of their data ownership model within the company, measurement of and improvement in data quality and data lineage activities. Measurement and improvement in the clients data maturity using industry Data Capability Assessment Model (DCAM) process. Owning the establishment and effective running of relevant data governance forums that complement and enhance existing assurance forums. Leading and developing a team of Data Governance specialists to drive understanding, awareness and compliance with relevant data governance activities. Liaison with other key business stakeholders to ensure data governance principles are embedded in commercial and technology designs and decisions. Headcount management to agreed targets. Skills and experience Proven track record of implementing Data Management frameworks to include capturing hearts and minds across stakeholders Experience working with high volume retail customer data sets in a digital environment. Experience working in a regulated environment and liaising with Risk, Audit and external regulatory authorities. Good knowledge of modern Data technology. Expert knowledge of the life-cycle of data in an organization from acquisition to delivery to include Data Architecture and Data Modeling. Experience in adopting external Data Management Benchmarks such as DCAM Problem solver who can think outside the box. Passion for subject matter.
