Overview

My client a is one of the UK’s largest importer and distributor of innovative fashion clothing for all major high street stores across the globe. Based in Manchester with travel on a regular basis to London they are currently recruiting for a Fashion Account Manager - Merchandiser to join their dynamic and fast paced team of experts. The Role: A strong individual is required to manage a team of 4 merchandisers where you will answer day to day queries and issues that may arise. You must be a team player and able to provide guidance and advice for more junior members of the team. Job Spec: Needs to understand garment construction / Fabric's so can suggest alternatives if needed when costing or during production. Can confidently work out costings and make decisions on prices to customers I.E Margins. Negotiating to get the best possible cost prices with current or new suppliers. Raising purchase orders, customer packaging / label orders (care labels, brand labels, price labelling) and dispatching to our suppliers Ensuring that Critical path dates are meet for all contract / MTO customers. An in depth knowledge of the critical path is essential. The merchandiser will be responsible for chasing in lab dips, print strike offs, bulk fabric and sample submissions (sealer samples /pre-production samples / production & press samples Ensuring the goods are packed in the correct way for each client. Liasing with our shipping and sales / deliveries department, ensuring that goods arrive are processed and are delivered on time. Attending customer meetings both at our head office in Manchester and also our London Covent Showroom. Full meeting follow up will be required, from quoting prices to arranging development samples. Working closely with the QC and design teams. The product area will be knitwear, accessories, jerseywear, sweats. Customers will include both those from the high street and online Skills Required: MUST have a minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role. MUST have experience with the FASHION market An in-depth knowledge of the critical path is essential. Build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Manage multiple updates, projects and challenges to meet deadlines. Able to multi task and prioritize busy workload. Strong attention to detail. Communicate effectively.
