JOB DESCRIPTION As part of their rapid expansion, they’re looking for a dynamic and creative self-starter to head up their social media department. Having already worked with some of the biggest names in entertainment, including, will.i.am. Ed Sheeran, Michael B Jordan, Kevin Hart and a wealth of emerging talent, you will be helping them work with some of the biggest entertainers and social influencers in the UK, as they expand their schedule even further across 2020. This will be a developing role, managing a young and enthusiastic team. Your ideas for daily social content will epitomise their tone and message. You must lead from the front, ideate and bring the team with you. Your ability to enthuse and manage your team will be mission critical. A huge part of this role involves the creation of highly shareable original video content, a full understanding of the end to end video production process is desirable. Candidates with hands on experience in this area will have a distinct advantage. Each day, before you even get to work, you will have sourced the news for trending stories that resonate with their audience. Then, as part of a daily briefing, you will oversee the production of original video content that delivers the brief that you have set. This will involve organising the production of video shoots within their live radio studio and on location, with writing and editorial skills a real bonus. You’ll be expected to take the lead in daily meetings in conjunction with the radio production team in order to produce regular social initiatives, including polls, competitions and original video production ideas. This is a full-time role based in North London offices, reporting to the General Manager and CEO. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and hours can be long and sometimes unsociable. Weekend work may occasionally be required and a responsiveness to audience enquiries via social platforms is essential Take responsibility for the social strategy across all platforms. Create cutting edge social content that their audience will want to share Develop owned, earned and paid social campaign content Utilise data for insight and reporting, with a granular focus on ROI. Line manage a team, developing and nurturing junior team members WHO FITS THE BILL 3 years minimum experience in a social media agency or heading up a social media department in a similar content-driven media brand. Proven ability to grow social following and engagement. Experience in building and implementing social media strategies Understanding of paid, earned etc Understand social analytics and compile reports and learnings from the same. In tune with celebrity UK and US popular culture You are passionate about social media, emerging trends and platforms. You will have an impeccable grasp of the English language, with accurate spelling, excellent writing skills and be fully focused on attention to detail. You will have experience of working with video and a full understanding of shooting and editing for social content
