Learning & Development Specialist - Contract - Nottingham Learning & Development Specialist 3 Month Rolling Contract Nottingham £Competitive pwd We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Leaning and Development specialist to start a 3 month rolling contract based in Nottingham. The Role This role is within the global learning and development team. Working under guidance of learning and development partners, there will be the need to liaise with product managers and other subject matter experts to understand relatively complex financial products. You will be identifying content that meets agreed learning objectives and be able to clearly communicate product information - potentially via the use of storyboards, but the emphasis in this role is on the ability to quickly gain an understanding of products. Roles and Duties You will work with a broad range of stakeholders to identify content that meets agreed learning objectives. - Work closely with product managers to understand products to ensure that the way the product works and the different pathways through it are clearly articulated to learning developers. - Produce information for learning developers within MS PowerPoint, Word or Articulate Rise. - Work with digital learning developers to discuss build options including structure and prioritisation of material and ensure an effective handover of information. - Be involved in evaluating the impact of learning interventions on business success. What you'll need to bring to the party - A confident practitioner who can build sustainable professional relationships with team colleagues, product managers and other key stakeholders to understand their needs and how learning may support them. - Excellent stakeholder management skills. - Be competent, focused and outcome driven as well as championing our values at all times. - Knowledge of financial services and learning and development principles. - Some knowledge and experience of digital solutions as part of 70:20:10 blended learning. - An ability to understand and logically explain concepts and functions with an enthusiastic, can-do approach. - Excellent writing skills and attention to detail and the ability to engage with complex subject matter. More about you - People-focused, resilient, strong commercial acumen, autonomous and fosters teamwork. - Good interpersonal and influencing skills and an understanding of other cultures due to the global nature of the role. - Financial services experience or equivalent knowledge of financial products. - Strong desire to understand financial products with a strong concern for order and quality. - A bachelor's degree is preferred. - Have gained several years' experience in roles that have required demonstration of the above capabilities. - A good knowledge of learning and development principles and modern digital learning approaches. The ability to simplify complex processes/systems/products into easy to understand content. Able to demonstrate basic project management skills.
