Events Coordinator - Bedfordshire - £20,000-£25,000 Are you looking to build a career in events management? Perhaps you have some events planning experience under your belt and you are looking to build on this in a specialist role? Working for a business which specialises in the events sector, you will be working with a like-minded team who have a passion for putting on world-class service for their clients with innovative and memorable campaigns. You will be responsible for sourcing and booking venues for events nationwide, negotiating with suppliers and building relationships. You'll create a portfolio of venues, focusing on building an expert market knowledge and working closely with external parties and suppliers. To succeed in this role you'll have to be hugely organised and enjoy running a tight ship. When booking venues, you'll need to keep records of contracts, documentation, event data, rates agreements etc. You'll also keep a strict diary with calls and meetings with prospects and occasional travel to venues. You will have confidence, enthusiasm and sound negotiation skills when dealing with venues and will be able to manage several projects at once. A background in events / conferences / venue booking is desirable although not essential. This is a great role for anyone looking to branch out into events and build a long term career in that sector of marketing/PR. You'll have full responsibility and accountability from day one and the chance to progress through the ranks based on your own hard work.
