Social Media Manager - London - £35,000 My client a leading publishing house is looking for a Social Media Manager to join their ever- growing team. The client is going through a significant digital growth and expansion of numerous brands within the company. We're looking for a talented, highly motivated, resourceful individual, with a deep knowledge of social media platforms and current affairs to join our flourishing team at the heart of the newsroom. You will play a key role in the on-going development and execution of social media strategy, you will curate content from across the Online business to satisfy a diverse range of audience demographics, you will edit and maintain the clients social media channels to a high standard in close conjunction with the rest of the team and contribute to their adoption of emerging social platforms and tools, and take responsibility for the growth of of their new social channels. You will work directly with editorial, video, picture, commercial and marketing teams, ensuring their respective demands are met and be part of a team, to ensure the newsroom has sufficient insight to produce Internet-friendly stories, and take responsibility for their subsequent distribution on social media channels, help mentor junior members of the team and focus on targets and be clear on what is required in order to meet them and work flexibly. They need you to have a deep knowledge of social media platforms, news and current affairs, be unflappable under pressure and delivers work at a consistently high standard, pro-active and displays a willingness to take on any task, have a positive attitude and good team player and take initiative in order to achieve desired results. You will be a self-starter, organised and a good problem-solver, able to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches and can demonstrate an understanding of the The brand, both print and digital.
