Overview
Outsource UK are currently working with a large Banking Group located in Solihull who are looking for a Digital Communications Manager to join them on a permanent basis. Our client are looking for a self-motivated, experienced and proactive Digital Communications Manager to join our small team and help build the corporate profile of the Group across internal and external audiences. The role will involve enhancing their existing digital media, incorporating new digital tools, identifying and drafting digital content and managing video production, as well as building strong internal relationship to help deliver compelling content. Purpose of the role To act as the digital communications expert in the communications team, developing content for digital media that communicates corporate messages and engages audiences including employees, investors, analysts, local communities and jobseekers. Duties and responsibilities Development of digital communications strategies to help achieve corporate objectives Create and maintain a story pipeline for the website and social media channels Draft content accurately, in a consistent style, to deliver key corporate messages across various digital channels Responsibility for the continual development of the corporate website Improving content, usability and functionality Operational responsibility for their employee intranet Increase opportunities for feedback and two-way communications Leading on Corporate Communications video projects, covering engagement, financial results and branding Responsible for the digital element of internal and external events Management of digital assets, including photography and video Efficiently incorporate new digital tools and social media Using metrics to monitor and evaluate the success of various communication channels About The Candidate Skills Strategic understanding of digital/social media and its role in communications Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and build relationships at multiple levels Ability to edit and upload content onto a CMS and experience of SharePoint/Office 365 is desirable Excellent attention to detail, writing and proofreading skills, and accurate use of numbers Enthusiasm, creative and high energy, with a passion for communications A self-starter who can balance both strategic planning and tactical delivery as part of a small team, with a willingness to be flexible Qualifications and experience Educated to degree level with experience in corporate and digital communications and video production/management. Experience in financial services would be an advantage. Working hours 37.5 hours per week - whilst our standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch) we encourage flexible working and your preferred options will be considered.
