Overview
Position: Senior FF&E Designer / Project Manager Location: London Salary: 40-45k Ref: 551-4389 Our client is an International Interior Design Agency who specialise within the hospitality sector. They are looking for a Senior FF&E Designer / Project Manager to join their creative team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and creative Senior FF&E Designer to lead the FF&E on high-end interior design projects, liasing with suppliers and working to a client’s needs and aspirations. Project involvement is from concept to delivery, including project management and client presentations relating to the FF&E. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in large scale commercial & hospitality projects, with a main focus on FF&E. Impeccable organisational, research and communication skills are essential. The candidate must be able to demonstrate the following: Excellent leadership and people skills, comfortable mentoring the more junior members of the team. An extensive understanding of finishes, furniture and lighting, with a knowledge of contract furniture suppliers. Experience completing specifications to a high standard of clarity. An ability to interpret a brief and design schemes for a wide variety of client’s tastes, brand identity or requirements. An ability to research for and create strong mood boards. An ability to create sample boards for client presentations. Excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills, for succinctly communicating concepts and information to a variety of people involved in the project: in house, external 3D visual artists, clients and contractors. Strong English is essential. Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Excel, and confidence in using an Apple Mac computer. Familiarity with navigating Vectorworks a bonus but not essential. It is essential that the candidate is able to travel (often at short notice) to locations within the UK and abroad.
