Overview

The Company We are proudly representing our public sector client based in Newcastle for their search for an Communications Assistant. They now have an immediate requirement to recruit for a temporary assignment to start as soon as possible for up to 6 months. The Role Formatting email campaigns, getting them through the approvals process and scheduling them to be sent out Exporting lists from our database and importing them into our email system to be able to send out the emails Supporting with the write-up of website articles/blogs Placing events onto Facebook, the website and our networking tool Placing news and blogs onto the website Reading over copy, correcting spelling/grammar and adjusting to meet our tone for the different types of audience Supporting with social media - content and analysis where required Generally supporting with website content/updates required The Person 1 years marketing experience High attention to detail Experience of writing for different audiences and differing content types e.g. news article, blogs Ability to work with formatting and sending email campaigns to mass audiences Ability to work with website content management systems, adding and updating items Knowledge and use of common social media channels Ability to analyse email and social media KPIs Excellent spelling and grammar and ability to check over and correct work Ability to understand instructions from the get go Use of initiative Ability to work independently, after initial training, with confidence Keen interest in developing a career in marketing communications Knowledge of UK higher education sector The Benefits Opportunity to learn new skills Monday- Friday working hours Good access to public transport Friendly working team
