Your Opportunity The candidate will support the head of the Audit and Assurance Bid Team in developing the group's firm wide strategy for supporting Audit and Assurance bids. The candidate will provide support, guidance and challenge on the strategy and approach teams should take to build a winning proposition for specific audit bids across all sectors. Your role Provide strategic support and guidance to the Lead Client Service Partners (LCSPs) on proposal strategy and tactics Work with LCSPs and business development managers to discuss bid pipelines, potential bid strategy and approach Support partners and teams in opportunity and relationship development leading up to potential tender opportunities Work with and challenge partners to develop compelling propositions Advise and coach LCSPs throughout the bid process from development of the initial bid strategy to maintaining relationships during the negotiation period In conjunction with the head of the Audit Bid team, supervise and co-ordinate other bid team members involved in project management, document production and other support functions Coach and rehearse partners and team members on their roles and in preparation for client-facing situations within the bid process (such as site visits and presentations). Provide the challenge and objectivity that ensures teams' approaches and messages are tailored to the prospective client Encourage cross service line introductions and teaming to leverage our relationship with existing clients Undertake debriefs and participate in meetings with clients Assist in helping to reach key revenue targets and goals as set out by industry lead partners. Work with the central knowledge management teams to share key wins information, and highlights from successful bids Support/initiate projects to raise the overall standard of bidding across the firm; including for example material to facilitate high quality self service solutions for smaller bids. Deliver training on bid best practice / methodology to the team and selected areas of the practice Key Relationships: Partner group Bid advisory peers Key strategic account teams Business development managers Your professional experience Experience of winning competitive tenders for non-commoditised services Knowledge of the audit services market, its drivers and attributes a benefit Experience of working in professional services a benefit Degree educated or equivalent with strong writing skills Ability to establish credibility and provide robust challenge within peer group Effective time and project management skills to prioritise across a range of opportunities/demands on time Aptitude for building strong relationships quickly and interacting with Partners and key account teams from across the Firm Ability to offer appropriate creative input on bids and bring new innovative ideas to the team Able to challenge partners in a constructive way, putting across reasoned arguments and enforcing firm wide priorities Your service line: Audit & Assurance In an industry best known for looking back, Deloitte looks beyond.
