Overview

Purpose of the role: Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Offline Marketing Manager to join our team to help us create and deliver our national marketing strategy and increase lead generation and ultimately our sales performance. The Offline Marketing Manager position is a hands-on role where you will be proactive in leading the offline campaign team, seeking out and creating opportunities, while also being a productive member of the team. You will be responsible for devising, carrying out and supporting our marketing efforts, co-ordinating with the in house digital and design teams within the marketing department to deliver full spectrum, multi-channel projects and campaigns. You will have an excellent knowledge of traditional marketing techniques, campaign planning and management, project management and a broad understanding of the concepts within digital marketing and design. You will devise, create and manage seasonal campaigns, and multiple simultaneous projects, including planning their implementation and managing the team of marketing executives to ensure timely delivery and communications to the business. You will compile monthly reports on activity and ongoing ROI reports as required to assess performance. Additionally, you will work with the property teams to ensure delivery is effective and suggest ongoing improvements. Main Duties Devise, implement and manage offline marketing activity to engage our target audience and drive traffic to our student properties on time and to budget Be an active and productive member of the offline marketing team Work with the in-house digital and design teams to devise and deliver specific campaigns and projects. Deliver national marketing campaigns on a local basis. Create and deliver comprehensive internal communications regarding marketing activity and campaigns. Produce monthly client reports on marketing activity. Track ROI on all activity. Ensure photography is completed in a timely manner to present the properties’ best assets and continuously review. Ensure property listings and marketing channels are up to date at all times and ensure regular audit. Create marketing plans. Training and coaching of the team Liaise with external agencies regarding the preparation of marketing collateral and ensure delivery on time at property level. Assist in the creation of copy and content for our marketing literature. Liaise with the property teams regarding local marketing activity and ensure they have all of the tools required locally to drive lead generation. Track lead generation and ROI from marketing activity, research new ways to target demographic. Track demographic and behaviour Track key marketing questions to ensure accurate ROI reporting and present results on a regular basis. Devise and implement customer surveys and track and present results Keep abreast of current trends in the market and relevant competitors and suggest upgrades and enhancements to marketing strategy and tools Assist with procurement of campaign and other marketing supplies. Develop and proactively undertake projects to showcase the brand and its assets. Ensure deadlines are met and budgets managed efficiently ensuring value for money. Monitor and research our social media activity, and our competitors’ activity and lead and support the central and property team’s student properties to ensure we are delivering engaging material. Comply with Health and Safety working practice in accordance with the company’s policy. To be flexible and work effectively with other colleagues. Some national travel and overnight stays may be required. In order for our client to work effectively, you may be required to assist with other areas of work and therefore, you should be prepared to undertake other duties appropriate to the post, as delegated by your line manager. Skills Must have very strong written English skills for content writing Proven track record within marketing campaign/project delivery Experience with print and traditional and email marketing techniques, as well as a broad understanding of digital and social media Must have experience of line managing a marketing team Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Ability to work with minimum supervision and to tight deadlines Ability to work as part of a team Excellent organisational skills Ability to present to stakeholders and clients Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels Ability to achieve goals and targets within timescales Personal Qualities Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum guidance; confidence in taking the initiative Have a real sense of ownership of the campaign and the budget Set high standards for your work and that of others Committed to equal opportunities Willingness to be flexible and respond to changing circumstances Have a 'can do’ attitude in all aspects of work Essential At least 5 years marketing experience with a proven track record Experienced in line management Experienced in national campaign creation, planning, delivery, analysis and reporting Experience of managing multiple simultaneous projects Experience of producing marketing activity reports and producing marketing commentary Experienced in creation of marketing plans Experience of working to budget Experienced in email marketing Experienced in compiling proposals and strategy documents Experienced in training and coaching of team members Advanced understanding of all offline marketing channels Advanced understanding of social media Good understanding of online marketing and web technologies Experience of consulting with and meeting with internal stakeholders, clients and agencies
