Overview
Reed Procurement - Public Sector are delighted to be working with a large employer based in the City of London in recruiting a Procurement Specialist. This is a brand new permanent position and you will be reporting directly to the Head of Procurement. Please note: To be considered for this role you MUST have previous Procurement and OJEU experience. Key Responsibilities To support the Procurement Development Manager and the Category Team to create organisational excellence in procurement and purchasing To support the procurement and purchasing function in the implementation of procurement initiatives, and new contractual arrangements and to develop and agree standard policies and procedures The role will also be involved in implementation of new opportunities for improved procurement practices To manage the eProcurement system. Business compliance with internal policies and legal and regulatory requirements. Performance measurement of the procurement activity. Develop, implement and maintain a customer engagement approach such that customers are fully engaged in procurement decision making. Support change in procurement approach and ways of working. Implement and own common processes and procedures for procurement across the whole of MHT. Manage the appropriate use of purchasing card solutions and purchase to pay solutions. Own the eProcurement system and be responsible for developing this into a platform that holds all supplier, tender and contractual data for the whole business Essential skills and experience MCIPS (studying or qualified) Proven experience of supplier management and procurement Experience of supplier management, building relationships for success and supplier development programmes Experience of managing the OJEU procurement rules in practice and a working knowledge of applying the PCR 2015 directives to your previous work Excellent all-round IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel Good verbal and written communication skills including experience in writing technical reports; Good level of education, including procurement and/or project management qualifications (or similar); Excellent data research, collection and analysis skills, including the ability to work with and manipulate numerical data; Proven organisational and project, planning skills, working in a calm, logical way to deliver tasks efficiently You must be able to work collaboratively with others and will need to have excellent project management and organisational skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with multiple colleagues, peers, and external clients Ability to think creatively and independently and to take initiative to solve problems Additional Information Competitive salary & pension Flexible working This is a responsible and rewarding role for an individual who is interested in pursuing a new challenge.
