Overview

My client - an award-winning sports marketing agency are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team. This role would suit a sales professional with a good knowledge of digital marketing and a passion for sports. The Business Development Manager will primarily focus upon fostering and nurturing relationships with new client prospects, whilst also carrying out new business development research to help the wider team achieve collective objectives, sales targets and win new clients. What you will actually do: Drive new client prospecting processes working to agreed department commercial targets Proactively drive sales prospecting and lead generation process in line with the broader new business strategy Support account colleagues across different departments in the preparation for and delivery of brief responses and pitches Deliver detailed and strategic research against specific internal briefs in support of pitch teams. This will require working closely with account teams across the business and when appropriate, senior management Support the delivery of company events, workshops and written B2B marketing collateral alongside internal and external partners What you will need: 2 years of experience in B2B business development, utilising a consultative and solution-based sales approach and proven delivery against monthly/yearly financial targets A strong understanding of digital media/advertising A passion for and understanding of the business of sport A self-starting and confident personality, with strong relationship-building skills Able to demonstrable your ability to communicate, present and influence with credibility and effectiveness at all levels, including executive and C-level Well organised with the ability to plan and deliver on tight deadlines An innovative and proactive approach to working, who is not afraid to suggest new ideas Able to liaise with internal account teams proactively, which will require project management skills and a team-orientated work ethic Excellent communication skills This role is paying a basic salary between £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience with up to 20% bonus
