Senior QS / Associate Director MRICS Major Projects Team Real Estate Consultancy London Package: Competitive I am working with a leading real estate consultancy who wish to add an MRICS SQS / Associate Director to the Major Projects team. The Major Projects team is well established and currently based outside of London consisting of Project & Cost Managers. There is also an already established London office which is home to many other disciplines that my client covers, however this new addition to the team will be the first in London for Major Projects. Key focus of job: Major Projects are looking to appoint a Senior or Associate Director level Quantity Surveyor. You will be involved in both new and refurbishment projects typically ranging from £500,000 to £65,000,000 in a variety of sectors such as office, residential, retail, arts, education and industrial. You will be responsible for developing business from internal client departments and external clients, both for purely QS instructions and working with the project management team in pitches. You will be expected to work independently although supervision is readily available through the senior management team. This is a client facing role with excellent career progression for the right candidate, as such we require candidates that are confident and knowledgeable in this role. The team operate on a national basis and as such you will be expected to travel to client meetings and undertake site visits periodically, a driving license is therefore required. You will ideally hold a degree in Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 5 years' experience with a recognized PQS firm and looking to develop your career. You should be RICS qualified. Main tasks: Preparing cost plans and order of costs Carrying out tender analysis and preparing tender reports; Developing the QS and cost business from our London HQ. Preparing interim valuations and financial reports; Agreeing variations and final accounts Attending site and design team meetings. Technical Skills: Proven experience in cost planning Measurement and pricing of variations Working knowledge of JCT contracts Computer Literacy, specifically in Microsoft Office.
