Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Fundraising Officer to manage the fundraising activities across the West of England and Wales for an inspiring animal welfare charity. The Charity An international animal welfare charity. The Role Provide excellent stewardship, training and monitoring to a network of volunteer fundraising groups and individuals to maximise their fundraising potential and ensure they all adhere to the Fundraising code of conduct and remain GDPR compliant. Manage the income and expenditure budget and operational plan for the region forecasting monthly income against planned fundraising activities. Provide excellent supporter service to enquiries from members of the public via phone, email and in person and encourage their ongoing support. Promote legacy fundraising/leaving a gift in your will to supporters. Proactively use the fundraising database to develop and manage supporter relations. The Candidate Proven track record of achieving set income targets and monitoring and reporting against budgets in a community fundraising setting. Experience of successfully setting managing an annual income and expenditure budget. Demonstrable experience of scoping and managing fundraising campaigns and events. This includes devising and managing marketing strategies, event plans and being fully accountable for the outcomes. Proven experience of recruiting and stewarding high value volunteer fundraisers or fundraising groups and developing their skills to maximise the success of their fundraising activities. Demonstrable experience of strong and effective networking skills across various environments to explore potential fundraising opportunities and generate new business. Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills and demonstrable experience of building and managing successful working relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders.
