Overview

One of the world's leading law firms requires an experienced Business Development Manager to provide focused business development and marketing support to the partners and associates of the London Private Funds Group. The Business Development Manager will be heavily involved in business planning, drafting, monitoring and refining a BD and Marketing plan and taking responsibility for annual budgeting for big-ticket marketing and BD spend items. On the BD side the role holder will ensure a set of priority clients and targets have been identified and provide client development management support for at least four key clients or targets. You will also provide end-to-end support of RFP opportunities, challenging 'go-no go' decisions; producing high quality first drafts, seeing them through to submission with Partners, and rehearsing pitch team for beauty parades. Marketing and reputation building will also represent a key element of the role. The role holder will be tasked with identifying, arranging and maximising sponsorships and conference opportunities and managing and organising large-scale group-led seminars. The successful candidate must ensure PR and social media channels are fully leveraged to support campaigns, marketing activities and work done, assessing the impact and value of marketing campaigns and events, and will write and manage the groups' annual directory and award submissions, ensuring the quality is optimal to enhance the firm's ranking. In order to perform this role successfully, the candidate will have extensive previous experience in professional services business development, preferably in a law firm and in a private fund establishment to include a track record of working on competitive proposals and pitches. A highly motivated self-starter and exceptional team player, committed to high performance, the Business Development Manager should hold a degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline and must be confident, articulate, resilient and focused.
