Empowering government to make a difference to everyone, every day. Role Overview Sopra Steria is recruiting for a Senior Sales Consultant to join our public sector. Reporting into an Executive Client Director, the Senior Sales Consultant play a key role in client strategy and growth by developing sales into public sector. These are opportunities for a Senior Sales Consultant to support driving strategic business outcomes. The Senior Sales Consultant will develop close working relationships with the Sopra Steria delivery team working within the market to maximise business and lead sales campaign for complex deals. The Senior Sales Consultants will be looking to sell Sopra Steria’s services such as: Digital solutions, Cyber Security, Robotics, Analytics Software engineering and systems integration (SI) ICT Transition and Transformation Programs Business Process Services The Day Job To ensure that all stages of the sales cycle are undertaken effectively to achieve the results required adhering to the company selling methodology. To manage individual sales pipeline to ensure an appropriate mix of prospects, new business opportunities and firm proposals. To participate in the development and execution of the Sector strategy to meet set objectives. To drive through the value propositions and proposal to satisfy customer and company objectives. To provide accurate monthly sales forecasts for new business. To effectively develop and manage customer relationships To work with and gain the co-operation and commitment of key individuals in different units or disciplines to achieve assigned targets and objectives. To feedback to the company any relevant market intelligence, e.g. customers, marketplace, industry, competition, technology. To meet the agreed targets for order values and contributions according to the timescales set. To develop and share effective competitive strategies for target opportunities. To adhere to sales management and bid authorisation processes. Essential Skills Sales, business development or account management experience and Experience of selling IT services. Experience of working within the government / public sector / defence sectors. Customer engagement skills with the ability to understand the customer’s needs and articulate own product and service benefit. Strong customer facing presentation and influencing skills.
