DevOps Engineer | London | Contract | 6 months | £600-750 per day d.o.e This role is Outside of IR35. I am looking for a DevOps engineer, to work within a team who are operating like an incubated start-up within a FTSE100 company. They are a Global disruptive digital data business serving 70m visitors across 30 markets. You will work on Leading the digital transformation of a global data business. They are an in-house accelerator team pioneering the use of digital publishing to capture data and drive double digit growth globally across all markets through subsequent use in digital marketing initiatives. Key to their digital marketing strategy is using data, their own data, their own consumers, so first party data. They need to collect data from their consumers through their websites. It sits across 26 markets, tons data, gathered, then they can promote ads and personalized content. Bringing 100 million people in with 15-20k articles of content. Every single data point to collect from their users. As a concept it is brand agnostic, it is simple in concept but very powerful when it comes together. First of all they have been working on a huge re-build to design and deliver a bespoke global platform in AWS, as well as introduce new cutting edge technology across their sites using Node micro-services and infrastructure (AWS, docker, terraform) as well as React & redux on front-end with CSS. This is an environment where you will be able to prototype new ideas, concepts then build and deploy where you will have full autonomy, they are looking for creative, blue sky thinkers who can bring new ideas and then deliver them. From a data perspective it is large scale and looking at what can you do with that data and how can you build a data business, they are going to start looking in to AI which are complex challenges such as picking images to drive content on the website using AI or Alexa? We are looking for people with infrastructure experience who have proven 'battle scar' experience of running high scale websites, to ensure their platform's run efficiently and cost effectively - focusing on observability, monitoring strategy and security. Experience with AWS and Terraform is very important, and you will be given ownership of looking after the infrastructure, working on the operating the system, helping them to improve their costs, making sure their systems are up, and when they are not, help them to improve the processes and visibility of them. Key skills for this role: ·Work as part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional development team following continuous delivery and building highly performant code ·Develop prototypes quickly and deliver production code that can scale. ·Be involved in a full spectrum of development, including new features and new applications but also tools to support experimentation, localisation and customisation. ·Develop and implement systems using best practices and tools. Document and communicate them. ·Be creative and experiment with new solutions but pragmatic and committed to code optimization, maintainability, and quality ·Work with product owners and designers to prioritise and hone features. Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scale. Requirements: ·Strong experience of managing infrastructure as code (Cloud Formation, Terraform, Serverless etc…) ·Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required) ·Experience of deploying containers (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) ·Experience with relational and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB, CouchDB, Cassandra, etc.) data stores ·Experience in managing production systems at scale ·Thought leader in the areas of continuous deployment, DevOps and SRE. ··Node.JS ··Docker, Circle CI, AWS, DevOps Engineer | London | Contract | 6 months | £600-750 per day d.o.e This job ad was posted by Salt.
