Overview
As a key member of the Global Communications team, you will work cross-functionally to help communicate with journalists; devise specific communications materials and campaigns; engage in face-to-face meetings with media contacts and commentators, and develop print and web-based material supporting these campaigns. We're looking for great communicators who can understand complex business issues and explain them in person and also via well-written copy. As an experienced and passionate PR & Communications professional, you will work closely with our London PR Manager and Sr. Global Communication Director. As a Public Relations Associate, you will be an integral part of the global team involved in the proactive pitching of Publicis Sapient’s business and its senior leaders. Responsibilities: Write and edit content, press releases, and media alerts Serve as daily contact with media and internal spokespeople Actively pitch to media to secure strategic press coverage in top national, regional and online media outlets Cultivate and maintain media relationships Support the PR/Communications team by researching, drafting and contributing to press releases and other announcements, distributing and publishing this news as needed. Implement various public relations/communications initiatives designed to build the firm’s brand in key practice areas and markets across global offices. Support daily public relations functions and maintain the press office infrastructure including media relations and supporting broader public relations campaigns Your Skills & Experience A bachelors degree in marketing, communications or related field and experience in PR preferred Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills Excellent presentation and communication skills Set Yourself Apart With: Good working relationships with UK media Proven ability of turning an idea into a story Being quick-witted, enthusiastic and intellectually curious.
