Job Title: BD & Marketing Manager - Healthcare Contract Type: Permanent Location: London Function: Marketing Purpose The Healthcare Sector Manager is responsible for providing all aspects of BD & Marketing support and strategic direction to the partners aligned to the Global Healthcare Sector Team and the partners who work in the sector across Linklaters’ global network The role will also include line management responsibility for two advisors who are responsible (with full autonomy) for the UK Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) and Competition/Antitrust practices, respectively, and one assistant who supports the TMT advisor. Key tasks and focus areas include: · working with the Healthcare Sector leaders to drive, challenge and strategically own the execution of their business plan; · working alongside relevant partners to lead individual workstreams within the business plan; · working with the Tactical Opportunities and Finance teams to analyse market and financial data to support the further development of the Healthcare Sector and specific BD objective; · being knowledgeable about the healthcare sector and subsectors, key clients and market trends. Regularly interact with partners to share market and client specific intelligence; · supporting partners and client teams by providing advice, briefings and tailored marketing documents for external client meetings. Supporting the growth of revenue from existing clients through systematic cross-selling; · working closely with practice areas that overlap with the healthcare sector (Private Equity, TMT/IP, Antitrust and Corporate) to identify areas to leverage our expertise for target clients and areas of opportunity for cross-selling the firm’s practice, office and sector offering. Tapping into the existing client relationships across the network to identify gaps and best 'internal route to market’; · monitoring the news daily to see what assets are coming up for sale and if there are opportunities we can manoeuvre into. · packaging and promoting the firm’s expertise across practice, office and sector, providing the marketing collateral necessary to cross-sell our healthcare expertise internally to other partners in other divisions and externally to clients; · identification of key conferences in the market and coordination of a targeted approach to attendance; · leading the end-to-end process for healthcare pitches, including positioning our value proposition based on clear insight of the client’s needs and industry trends and contributing to pricing discussions; · working with the Global Healthcare Partners to ensure our key messages are well understood in the market and that we are perceived externally to be a full-service market-leading firm for healthcare clients, · developing the agenda for and organising the delivery of the annual Healthcare Away Day; and · Overall responsibility for all BD & Marketing fundamentals related to the Healthcare Sector. Working with the advisor to ensure all fundamentals are kept up to date including pitch processes, maintaining accurate and up to date credentials, collateral, capability summaries, promoting the use of Client Book and website content (Linklaters.com and internal).
