Job Description

: The Sr Staff Accountant will play an integral role on the accounting team, working through complex issues, transactions, and projects independently as well as collaboratively with cross functional team members. The Sr Staff Accountant should have a working knowledge of GAAP accounting rules including how they impact the financial reporting systems. The Sr Staff Accountant will have responsibilities in accounting for numerous countries in which Alteryx is represented within EMEA, making this a great learning environment of becoming an International Accountant. Key Responsibilities: * Direct Support to the Accounting Team Leader in monthly, quarterly and yearly financial close process * Perform Month End Close Procedures for variety of accounts * Independently perform analyses and prepare journal entries on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. * Perform Monthly Account Reconciliations for Assigned General Ledger Accounts * Support with AR cash application when needed * Assist in maintaining internal controls for areas of responsibility * Assist in working with external auditors' issues for quarterly reviews and annual audit * Assist Finance team with ad hoc projects or additional account reconciliations, as necessary * Identify issues and provides recommendations for resolution to management * Partner with various departments to drive process improvements * Partner with Finance team on any system implementations * Partner with Payroll team for statutory reporting when needed * Assist Finance team with Ad Hoc Projects as necessary All listed responsibilities are deemed essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities. Desired Skills & Experience: * ACCA or CIMA qualified or newly qualified * 3+ years combination of corporate accounting and/or public accounting * Experience with NetSuite (or equivalent ERP system) preferred * Knowledge of US/UK GAAP * Detail Oriented and self-starter and able to work well and communicate effectively in a team environment * Hands-on and able to work effectively with team members at all levels * Excellent computer skills working with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Must be flexible and work well in a dynamic, high growth environment * Experience in a global, public-company environment, and strict adherence to SOX processes and internal controls * Have a process improvement mindset - problem solver * Solid English speaker. Knowledge of Ukrainian, Russian or Czech would be a plus but not mandatory
