Overview

The Ella Rowcroft Endowment Trust is new and has been established to create a long-term permanent endowment for Rowcroft Hospice so that it can continue to deliver the highest possible standard of care to more patients, and their families, living with life limiting illnesses in South Devon, for generations to come. The Endowment Trust is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) sitting alongside Rowcroft Hospice. Over the coming months we are looking for a number of new trustees to join this exciting new CIO. The ideal candidates will be highly successful business leaders/entrepreneurs who have strong networks within the Ultra High Net Worth community. They will be dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated professionals. Board meetings will usually be held twice per year with the possibility of additional small number of meetings in sub-committees. You will represent The Ella Rowcroft Endowment Trust within the community and be an active participant in its future growth and direction. Rowcroft Hospice is a well-respected and supported charity which has had a presence in the South West for over 35 years. From Dartmouth to Dawlish, its teams provide medical, social and spiritual support to care for 2,500 patients with life limiting illnesses every year across South Devon. Care is provided at home, in the community and at its Inpatient Unit in Torquay, and its board are committed to make every day the best it can be for all patients and their families living with life limiting illnesses in South Devon. Rowcroft Hospice has an ambitious 5-year strategy covering the clinical and commercial imperatives of the charity, ensuring it meets the changing needs of the local community. The Ella Rowcroft Endowment Trust has been established as part of this strategy and will be integral in ensuring the long-term vitality of the Hospice. Rowcroft has a dynamic and friendly board, and a strong executive team who jointly own an ambitious 5-year strategy covering the clinical and commercial imperatives of the charity, ensuring it meets the changing demographic needs of the local community. This is a voluntary, unpaid, position but reasonable travel expenses will be paid.
